The managing member of LaHatte Law, LLC. is Joey LaHatte. Joey is a native New Orleanian who was a Blue Jay and attended Jesuit High School and subsequently attended Louisiana State University for a technological degree where he was in the nationally renowned 'Golden Band from Tigerland.'
Joey then attended Loyola New Orleans School of Law and later practiced in the areas of insurance defense, construction defect, premises liability, insurance coverage, property damage, and participated in various trials and arbitrations. Joey's father 'Joe' was a lawyer for thirty-years in New Orleans and developed an extensive plaintiff personal injury practice by taking a unique approach to the handling of insurance claims.
Joey is married to his wife Virginia and they have three children, Caroline, Charlotte, and Daniel. Joey also is an active member of the renowned all-male dance team, The 610 Stompers and regularly dances at charity events to raise money for various causes.
Currently, Joey is accepting a multitude of different insurance claims and bad faith insurance claims. Joey primarily practices in the Property/Casualty realm dealing with home and business insurance claims. That includes fires, water loss, hurricanes, sewer backups, pipe freezes, business interruption, and more.
Joey is admitted to practice before all state courts in Louisiana. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition, he is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Jefferson Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
